New Story..for 2013

Hi All,

This is the beginning of a new story. I am now not only racing with NSR (Saturday Night Fever Series), but with the Ninja 250R(Malaysian Super Series) and also a new-to-me Kawasaki KLX 450R (Malaysian Supermoto Series). Please note that i am no longer race in the Selangor Motor Race for this year due to the logistic, uncertanties etc. They have included several new track for me, which i am very unfamiliar at.

And most importantly, thank you very much to the new sponsor, Biketech Malaysia. They have given me opprtunity to achieve this all. Thank to them i am now competing in MSS 2013 and the MSupermoto Series 2013.

And not forgetting the NSR Malaysia Racing team towards their contribution on the SNF 2013.

Engine ICE Coolant, sponsored by Tyga Malaysia

Hi All,

Apart from the exhaust, Tyga Malaysia is a proud distributor of Engine Ice coolant. They give me 1 bottle of it, which is more than the bike needs, despite the big R6 radiator it have.

I still dont mount the meter yet, so i dont really know how much is the different it have against the Battery water.

Sponsorship with Tyga MALAYSIA!

Hi All,

Not so long ago, i have receive an offer which i couldn't reject. I have been offered a sponsorship from TYGA MALAYSIA.

They offer me a full system from their product line.

This is really good exhaust that i have found so far. The mounting is direct fit, and the power that i got from the exhaust is nowhere between the AHM, YY Pang and the BM Power that i have used previously. This is due to the design of the exhaust where it have a perfect shape of the chamber. My race in the Eilte Speedway circuit does give a big difference compared to the old exhaust..i really rated this exhaust.

New paint for the AAprilia RSA 250 GP fairing

Hi,

I have also remove the paint from the fairing, back to the Carbon Fibre itself. If any of you could remember last time the bike have totaled at the Sepang 1st turn due to the brake problem. The process of removing the paint was very tedious, i use an angle grinder to remove it with sanding grit. I have intention to leave the carbon exposed, and paint a clearcoat on it but too many damages to cover so maybe leave some small portion st for the sake of show off. LOL. After all, not many NSR have full carbon fairing on it,right?

I dont have the picture of the fairing, but this is close to what i have at the moment.

The fairing is not the same as on the picture, as it have grey filler on it, with some carbon fibre flashing form beneath. The fairing also have receive a new windshield, from an Aprilia RS125 model. But unfortunately, besides my stress to the seller on wanting the clear colour, Dark Tint arrived. I dont want to refuse the item since it is sold from my friend, so i took it.

Now, i need to search for a shop that could paint the fairing for the lowest price. Sadly i dont have RM600 to paint it up to the spec :(

Primary gear from the little NSR brother!

Hi All,

I owe all of you an apologise for not uploading the blog for quite some time now. I have been busy with another addition to the family, my Ninja 250R that i will ride in the Malaysian Super Series 2013 campaign. Alright, since this is the blog is about the NSR, i will try to make another blog for the Ninja.

Since the last update, i have enquired the primary gear from an NSR 125 that i got from the bay. What holding me from buying it earlier is the price for the Clutch basket is way cheaper than the gear itslef. Luckily enough, i have found a generous seller which can sell me only the gear, without the but, washer and woodruff key. I get a good price for the shipping as well.

The installation is a gamble for me, in which i have no idea it might fit or not. At first i was afraid that the primary might not fit since it is missing a gear from the standard one. After much homework, i found out that the gear was for the kick start, that explains a lot since the NSR 125 runs on an Electric starter. Luck is with my side as i have already junk the kickstarter system from the NSR. This should be light enough for it to spins since it is now have no extra burden to spins. Definitely win.

Clutch Basket Modification

Hi,

Last week finally i go to the Kamco Aluminium Manufacturing (www.kamcoaluminium.com) and find myself some alloy with me. there's a bunch of alloy over there, but mostly for trading/shop purposes as it sells stuff like 20 feet alloy tube. But luckily for me, there's some leftover that they also would like to sell as well, and there's a few billet aluminium that i would like to keep.

That day i bought a 1 x 1 feet aluminium T6061 plate, to make the plate which holds the clutch basket together. the lighter the better, and i believe that it would hold up against the speed as it was 6061, not the 1013 that i saw earlier. luckily i ask, and i didn't bother to buy that.

I've already cut it smaller from 1 feet plate that i have. i also traced the plate to the raw alu plate for the machining shop to cut it.

this is what it looks after MYR45 later.. the heavy steel one is on the right. the light alloy is so light it weight like a tissue.

Finished items. I have to change the rivet as well even if its in good condition.
the weight loss is significant. I wish i could lose KG's just like this.

Primary Gear

Hi,

I have bought an NSR Clutch basket last year for quite a good price. Unfortunately there is no primary comes with it. I have been searching for this, but never found a decently priced one. That means i have no other option than buying it..the gear cost more than the clutch basket itself!

The reason why this is better than the NSR150 item is that they have a straight-cut primary gear. The only good of helical type is the durability...but i have seen so many bikes comes standard from factory with it so there must not be any issue, otherwise manufacturer will always issue a recall.
So, this is what i needed now, and i believe its on the way to my postbox. : )

2013..A New Beginning?

Hi,

First of all millions of apologies for the lack of the updates. I am trying to breathe around my biking life and the shit banking world that killing me.

In the mean time, i have found myself stuck to these fantastic guys. Check them out at http://setapakrompongz.blogspot.com

Lately, i have attended several trackdays which are only dream on 2011/2012 but somehow Sepang Circuit managed to shower us with trackdays.. This is mainly for leisure purpose, in which i used my little Ninja to have some fun with handlebar attached. Clip-ons was so overrated.

But that was changed on last time i was there. I changed to Clip-ons because a friend of mine is sharing the bike with me, and request for it. Since i have 1 spare set from my NSR, i just send to to be bored to fit into the ninja.

Little that i know what these mods leads to.
