Hi,
As i have the new cylinder, it seems unappropriated to use a 2nd hand piston or a cheaper/lesser quality item. So, i ordered this top end from Najeb, my Singapore friend. He used to have nsr SP but now he had upgraded ( downgrade? :p ) to NSR 250.
it costs me MYR315, an expensive price compare to its rival's piston. It includes the piston 'C' ,rings and the pin. i could have save by using the used one but 'they' have lost it. but instead i found it in their toolbox. DANG!. they are so irresponsible. I have asked them so many times but they say they couldn't find it but it was in the box all along.
An oldtimer once told me that i should used the original piston because it got a 'special' coating on the piston crown..it also have 'something' on its clearance band, near to where the rings located.
This should be good..Round 2, here i come!

Hi,
Yesterday while i were preparing the bike, i wanted to bend the throttle line to 90degree, it snapped just like that. The broken part is a the threaded part, so it doesn't appear to be repairable..DANG!
So last night i searched for a throttle on eGay..and i found this one
BRAND NEW TRIALS FAST ACTION DOMINO THROTTLE / TWIST GRIP TO SUIT SHERCO , BETA , GAS GAS , SCORPA , MONTESA , 4RT,
for MYR 80..So i click the Buy It Now button, and hopes that it would delivered before next saturday, The Race Day.. Hopefully there's still time to install it!
edited - it arrives a day before race day,but i didn't install it since it is not a Fast action throttle! it have a small diameter tube,so i must open half, instead of a quarter.

Hi,
After saving, selling, earning the hard-to-earn cash i finally managed to buy a new cylinder. My current cylinder have been checked up for its compression by a pressure gauge, and its only a 120psi whereas the standard one is 156psi.
Furthermore, after the last race my liner have been..naked on a side above the exhaust port. The best solution is re-coat it with nicasil, but nowhere to be found in Malaysia. The nearest i guess would be Australia.. and the cost is almost reached the price for a new cylinder. So i went for a new cylinder instead..
I specifically ordered for B or Non-marked cylinder but the guy say 'all cylinder are same size'. He also claimed to be an NSR expert but in this case, his just an a*s. He didn't want to admit it.
i said in that case, why dont you get me an A sized piston? he replies he will look for it. What a jerk. He bought me a cylinder but no piston that would match it?
I bought only the cylinder, the head i already have..bartered it with a friend, who likes my rear hugger that i wore 2 years ago. It was my luck, the head looks new, with only a couple of rubbing,it shows the surface of a new head.
The piston & the ring is the bonus, to get it to run like a champ..well, with a tight budget i guess that needs to wait until the next paycheck..

Hi,
right now, this is the part that i still didn't satisfied with. and it hurts me a lot!
When they ask me to paint it,i already half-heartedly to give permission. My main concern is the weight.. but at the end its not only that! The red colour is like women menstrual blood! F*c#!
The pic was taken after the race finished. Note that i already put on the sponsor sticker on it. The top part have a different shade than the bottom one. This picture does not really show how bad is the paint..but it is BAD!
i already noticed that he put a dark grey as the undercoat..really dark! how can i get the glowing red with a dark grey undercoat?
2 days before that, he painted my front wheel Bright Fluorescent GREEN!! How messed up is that? He didn't manage to paint the rear one. i asked him to paint it black again.now my front wheel weights a tonne because of the thick paint. Dang!
1 day after that, he paint my frame with a cheapo black paint! F$%K!! i already painted it before that, using a high quality paint, and no need to be painted again, and he just paint it black, without covering up the engine!? Some part of the carb are covered with the paint. it took about an hour just to wipe off the paint with thinner, and i still didn't satisfied.
That is the last time i want my bike to be painted by him. The day i want to put on the selettra, he wants to help even tough he did not familiar with the ignition. At that time the fairing is still on its undercoat, the sun is shining..perfect time for paint but he still wants to wandering around with the ignition..
I've had enough.

Hi,
With the bottom end tighten up, it time for the truth. Will it work? Will it blow up?
i have install it,but it wont start. i follow the marking line, use a thick earth cable (it needs a 4mm thick gauge)but it only spark once. I went for advice from a friend, and it sparks, but the engine wont start..
No spark..and it's getting late. so i went for the back up plan, the original one. I have to, because we must finished it by midnight, because tomorrow is the day.
it works, after putting the standard one. ah..its a relief. luckily i still can put on the original back on it. i will fight with the Selettra once again..for now, Selettra 1 - Myself 0 . We will meet again selettra..next time, you will follow my lead.

Hi,
It's been a long time since my last updates. The reason is i got quite a busy schedule to keep up with. Apart from that,i've been informed that i have a new visitor. I dont know that anyone would read it, so from now on i must mind my word,(yeah, right).
2 days before the race, they have brought up the engine. Well, i did inform them that i wanted to watch the assembling process but nevermind,i already expect that. Furthermore they have installed a nice bearing that my engine had never been pampered with, the SKF Enduro C4..
and the high temperature oil seal from ARS. its better grade than the original one.the other side is only NOK seal but i got another VITON oil seal, meant for car steering.(however i believe that i got cheated by the shop, because it stated NOK on the receipt)
and that completes my bottom end..
and for a more serious part, the ignition..
