New Caliper V.3

Hi,

Yes, i've been busy lately doing things for my bike. It seems that i tends to postponed things until they were to late. Well, not for this year i suppose.
Yesterday i bought some T6061 for the right footpeg, and after work i went to mill the caliper bracket. :) Feels good when i'm back with my milling skills.

one-handed milling skills combined with taking picture is rare these days..

and this is nearly done..just need to sand and file a lil' bit more..

i dont want to bling it,because this is a race bike so i go for the brushed look. dry fitting to the bike looks OK for the alignment with the caliper and the fork leg.

New Caliper V2

Hi,

I am in the middle of the progress for fitting my newly bought BREMBO Calipers. It took a while because i do it myself, and its only happens in my free time, and in daylight. I dont want my neighbor complains about the noise i'm making.

at first attempt

My hand was literally come off at this moment..it was a pain in the s to cut without a vice..

and so i buy a 'cheapo' vice from the ace hardware, just below MYR10. it does the job well,so far.

dry fitting to the caliper. the holes may be drilled with a proper machine, not my hand drill because either the drill or me have parkinson, we haven't diagnosed yet :p

New Caliper v.1

Hi,

Since i got the caliper, i have cleaned it. Not that it needs cleaning though.
The seller also gave me the crap bracket to fit on his bikes. Well, it's somewhere in the bin anyway.
Not only it is Steel, it also got rust on it!

Well, window (or should i say mozilla firefox) shopping for the brake pad hunt is already started, and now i'm confused whether or not i buy the Rc (race compound pads) or the Sc (street/race pads). i wanted pads that is great but lasts. I think this time i'm gonna buy it at Singapore rather than e-bay.

this is some of the pics of bracket making process

it not so hard to make, luckily. I will make it in no time, Kamco Aluminium Sdn. Bhd., here i come!

New Caliper

Hi,

I have purchased a new caliper for the front one. This is necessary to conclude the BRAKING floating disc. It was a used items i scored from the MBC Forum, and it was going for MYR280 posted. i think this is an opportunity that i should not let go.

I think this caliper need to be rebuild, or at least should be serviced if the internal is still good. the Pads needs a mandatory replacement..and i think Brembo pads or at least Carbon Lorraine should be put it!

Parts for sale

Hi,

Here are some items for sale..which is taken from the bike, obviously!
i'm no longer using it so it will be a goner

what pictured here will be sold!

Triple Clamp v.1

Hi,

As you all know, the v.1 on the title usually is a Work-In-Progress project. Recently i have been replacing the steering ball bearing races so that it doesn't have the 'notchy' feeling like i have in these years.

I realised that the triple clamp weights a tonne! I know that most bike nowadays equipped with stronger yet lighter alloy clamp. so i decided to make one.
inspired by these...

so i bought this..

so its a long shot before it got done... I have to plan for these
1. measure everything and send it to be cut.order the stem with given measurement, bla..bla.. cost effective, but risky if the measurement a bit off

2.give the sample to the CNC guy, give 'em the billet and just wait for the part to be pick up. Safer but will include a lot of cash.

hm..maybe i ask them first how much will it costs...

Selettra ignition

Hi,

nothing much happens..as now is the time for the YZ to be resurrected
but this is a picture of a Selettra ignition that my friend install on his bike
